SPE Group Pty Ltd is a specialist project engineering consultancy. Each engagement is led directly by the principal engineer, with structural, marine, environmental or other specialist support brought in where the agreed scope requires it.

The model keeps accountability clear. Technical delivery experience is supported by postgraduate refinery study and executive business training, so the person developing the basis remains close to the source information, client decision and commercial consequence.

Before a scope is issued

A short asset summary and the decision the work must support are enough for an initial scoping discussion.

What information is needed to start?
The asset type, approximate scale, available information, current project phase and the decision the work must support. Drawings and prior reports can follow after the first discussion.
Can the work be completed under a fixed fee?
Yes, where the scope, source information and deliverable are sufficiently defined. Work with changing inputs or ongoing project interfaces can be completed on an agreed day-rate or capped basis.
How are estimate maturity and uncertainty handled?
The estimate basis records the available definition, quantity basis, rates, productivity, exclusions and risk treatment. An AACE class or accuracy range is only stated where the project basis and relevant guidance support that classification.
Can SPE support an existing owner or contractor team?
Yes. Support can be provided as a defined technical work package or as embedded project engineering through study, tender or delivery phases.
How is project information handled?
Project information is used only for the agreed work and is handled in accordance with the contract and any applicable confidentiality agreement. Named client work is not published without written approval.
Does SPE provide design certification?
Only where expressly included in the agreed scope and completed by a suitably qualified and authorised engineer. General studies, reviews and methodologies should not be read as statutory design certification unless the deliverable states otherwise.
